Space needs some updating, staff was pleasant. I had dip added to my natural nails on August 3rd but it fell off one of my nails on August 14th and now a second one fell off today. There are 4 other nails where the dip is starting to come off already. When I call the salon to let them know they said they would only offer to fix the one nail not all of them due to their 3 day policy. I asked how long the dip should last and was told three weeks. I asked why they wouldn't fix all the nails I was having issues with and I was told it's because they have a 3 day policy. The 3 day policy doesn't coincide with the how long dip is supposed to last. I'm not hard on my nails, I have a desk job and l've had dip on my nails countless times before and I've never had an Isai like
this. It's just disappointing that the salon wouldn't fix all of them especially being that I am a new client and it was my first visit there.

I’ve tried all 5 of the nail salons in Plaza Midwood, and honestly, I’m going to keep coming back to Tiptoe!
I moved to Plaza two years ago now, so of course I’m going to try all the places in my hood at some point so I can be an educated consumer, but whenever I stray, I walk out saying thinking “dang, I should have just gone to Tiptoe”.
I’m not going to call out other places like that, but every other spot is either ridiculously expensive, has questionable hygiene, unskilled nail techs, or they always seem like they are in a rush. Tiptoe uses quality products and all of the nail techs actually know what they are doing. They actually care about your nail health too and will soak off your old pedicure rather than just reaching right for the drill. They just check all the boxes, idk.
If I had to think of a single critique, the wine could be better, but guess what, it’s a salon, not a wine bar, so take the complementary glass and say thank you while you admire how pretty your nails look 🤩
If you’re a regular, they’re treat you like family, & if you’re new, I bet you’re going to become a regular 🙂.

I went in on a Saturday afternoon to get my nails done and 4 days later two of them came off on Wednesday. They apparently have a no refund policy and it’s ‘posted’ all over their facility. I personally didn’t see any and I don’t think people are looking all around for signage. There was also no communication from employees. I called for a partial refund but they refused, said I can come in and fix them but I didn’t want to because I had a feeling the others would break off. The owner argued with me and compared their terrible nail work with a car analogy and that they can’t guarantee anything which I understand. But my nails shouldn’t be falling off of my non dominant hand in 3-4 days. I don’t know about you guys but paying $60-$80 for your nails to fall off in 3-4 days is not worth the visit to this place. I’ve had nails of for over a month and picking up heavy things and being close to damaging my nails and sometimes they never even come off. If you can’t put on someone’s false nails securely and be confident that without extraneous pressure on the nails that it won’t come off then you shouldn’t be running a nail salon. I came from chicago and have NEVER had this issue and I went to a place that was rated 2 stars and got the best service. Please beware before coming here.

Always enjoy getting a pedicure here. Staff is nice, service is exactly or better than expected, and it’s a quiet and nice space. Just be sure to leave time for parking!

Loved my nail tech Lupe, so kind and good at what she does. Becky and husband are also kind, talented and welcoming. Won't be going anywhere else but here, they fixed my botched nail job.
